Afros and Artisans Business Spotlight: Britt Dior

I am pleased to share an awesome interview that highlights my sister’s book and business. This strong woman of God has let us into her space and understand who and what she does. You do not want to miss this opportunity so, relax your eyes, and lets meet Britt Dior!
How did you get into writing?
I’ve always been good at writing, I think I’ve been writing forever. About 5 years ago I discovered the world of blogging and it just took off from there.
So, what have you written?
It seems like a lot now. Lol. But I’ve had a blog for about 5 years. Then I wrote a book and more recently I’ve gotten into writing devotionals.

Really, a book? What’s it about.

Britt Dior’s book

Well in short it’s a Christian love story. The main character, Victory, is trying to recover from a broken heart and fix her relationship with God. Then there is Marcus who is romantically interested in Victory but she’s not having it. It’s really just my own interpretation of focusing on God and letting everything else follow.
What was your inspiration for the book?
My own life, lol. Seriously. I went through a period of bad relationship after bad relationship and I just became frustrated. Eventually, I realized that I needed to really work on my relationship with God. I’ve heard so many times that I should let God write my love story, so I figured why not.
That sounds great, where can we buy it?
You can actually get it directly from my website www.BrittDior.com
Are you working on anything currently?
Yes, finally. I’ve been working on my 2nd book for over a year now. I’ve finally got it down and the goal is to release it January 2016.
Where do your ideas come from?
For the most part my life! However, I always run them by God and wait for his guidance before I write anything to show to other people.
What is your main purpose for writing?
It is really just to inspire and lead people to Jesus. I’ve experienced a lot to not even be 30 and if I could help someone else not experience what I have or even to make better choices then I’m satisfied.
Okay, so who are you outside of your writings?
Well, I’m pretty much the same person. My writings are a direct look into who I am as a person and the stuff I’m dealing with. Especially my 2nd book, but it’s not a biography. So I would say that in addition to the person you would read about, I am a lover of all wonderful things. Especially Jesus and food… I really love good food.
How can readers discover more about you and you work?
