My Goods! #NaturalHair

Although my puff isn’t exactly where it should be, I still treat it like I got a  ‘lil sumtin sumtin’ going on up there. To emphasize my puff I have fell in love with my head bands. One in particulr… Okay don’t shoot me I forgot the brand name of these clips/ headbands but i did purchase these at my local BS. I went to Hair City–Golly I love that store! These Headbands clip at the back and are super easy for holding hair in place! The triangular pin-like holders help to share the hair in a funky (not to noticeable fashion) I would suggest purchasing these bad boys!

Do You Have a Texturizer? #naturalhair

Today for the first time I had someone approach me and asked “Your hair has a texturizer right?” I was shocked because although my hair wasn’t so defined I didn’t think it looked too hott. I am pretty sure many have thought my natural hair is processed with a texturizer but I doubt people gave it too much thought. Today was one of the few moments in my life were i felt actually honored for having Natural hair. I am not saying this to disregard my natural hair or put it down, but after answering a question like that… I couldn’t help but smile! I have always loved having Natural hair and i have always done it for myself not to gain attention of other’s eyes, so this experience was a joy. I immediately started to answer hair questions and probably even persuaded the person to stop using a texturizer due to my lack of using texturizer. So many people believe that they don’t have a natural curl pattern but indeed they do. It just takes time to learn your hair and what products work best for you! There are many who conform to using a texturizer or other harsh chemical texture altering features to receive curls when in fact their natural hair is capable of doing so without a processing chemical. SAY NO TO SCURL OR JERRICURLS! Listed below are just a few items I use to have my hair curl pattern refined and defined! Giovanni Direct Leave In Shea Moisture curling Smoothie Kinky Curly Curling Custard Blended beauty Cutie Silky Swirls   Best of all! These arn’t GELS!

Shoelaces??

So you have come to the point where you are sick and tired of buying the oversized headbands at For Love or the hair stores and seeing every female, or male wearing them aswell?? Well guess what??? I have a remedy for you that may help your pockets a little more. Right now I may need you to stop reading… and look in your closets because there are some tongues in there that have been screaming at you for a while… At this point you are probably scratching your head, or thinking, this girl is crazy. But no! Reach for your sneakers and unless those babies because those laces are gonna be used for something different. Whether you have Natural or Relaxed hair, shoelaces can help spice up a TWA or a simply ponytail. This was inspired by my friend Quana. Simply wrap the lace around once or twice and tie then VIOLA! You have a new headband bow =) Cia.E Shoelace Headband Shoelace Head Band backview

My Nappy Happy sure ran my pockets Sappy treat!

For those of you who read my blog, I am sure you were informed that Yesterday was my 1 month Nappiversary. Now, I am the type of girl who absolutely LOVES to spend money which could be a problem when you have school to pay for. But I mean you only live once so I thought I deserved something good. Therefore, I wanted some type of product to define my curls. I remember when I first did my BC, I went to my local BBS store immediately after, to buy some type of curl defining product. I unfortunately failed at doing so because the product I initially wanted to buy was the IC Fantasia but I walked out with LA Curl  activator. That product was a Fail!! It didn’t do much for my curl pattern. There was someone who found joy in my loss, which was my mother who took the product and found better use for it as a gel on her relaxed hair. Therefore this time around I wanted to treat myself to something that had a better chance of working out. I asked my #NaturalHair twitter fam what I should buy and they recommended either Eco Styler or Kinky Curly Curling Custard. The two range way differently in prices but the results are quite the same. While I looked more into the background of these two products I stumbled upon a very informative Youtube video on these two products… Can you guys guess which one I ended up treating myself to??? (I am unable to post the videos but if you check the links below you can view the videos) Part 1 | Part 2 Cia.E
