So I have never in a million years would have thought I would ever use this product, but seeing how I am in this new “use What you got” era, I decided to give it a try. The Consistency of the product was as I expected in a gel format.
The ingredients are most definitiley in the ball park for good hair maintenance. It is a water based product, which is a plus and the second is glycerin which is a great component for your hair. Glycerin extracts the moisture from the air and pulls it into your hair strands. You can’t go wrong with moisture especially in these drying times.
The price range for this item can range anywhere between 3 to 6 dollars. Verry affordable right? This product can be purchased at any hairstore or pharmacy stores like CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens. If you are lucky you can spot these in Walmart aswell.
My Overall Review:
Although I wouldn’t use this on any of my coils again it is great gel to use on flat twist. It has any easy slip and hold for the styles you wish to achieve. It didn’t leave my hair crunchy or stiff but still had a great hold. The smell was mediocre and i would definitely recommend this for styling or an alternative to a curl defining after braidouts.
Here are some pictures after I took out my coils. My coils came out as if I didnt even coil my hair and then there were a few that I adored!!
Here are My first ever flat twist. I really feel as if the Smooth N Shine did the trick for me. You decide….
