After the removal of Eve(my yarn braids), I saw it fit to treat my hair. Why? It has been approx 4 weeks since a DC. Big no no when it comes to natural hair. I decided to take two different routes in my hair treatment. I first did a Benonite treatment and then a Deep conditioning treatment. Being the great friend I am I gave my regular DC conditioner away, and had to make use of the resources i had to makeup for the lost Deep conditioner. You can follow my journey with this treatment below.

Bentonite Clay Treatnent:
- 2 tbsp of Bentonite clay
- 2 tbs of water
Mix the two substances together well, and apply all over head with your hands or maybe a utensil. You must be fast when using the clay because it tends to dry fast.
I left the clay on my head for 15 mins and rinsed immediately with warm water. I followed with my Giovnni Shampoo and cowashed with suave naturals.
I could not stop the process there. If a DC was not to follow the Bentonite clay treatment, they may have caused me some serious long term issues. The Clay did leave my hair shiny and less frizzy, not to mention soft, but the purpose of the clay is to purify and it is not to be used to compensate for regaining moisture.

Deep Conditioner Treatment:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbs honey
- 2tbs on cheap conditioner
Mix these ingredients well in a bowl
Apply over your hair and cover. You can choose to leave it in over night or however many hours you feel your hair will need.
Be sure to cover with a cap, or a plastic bag as i have. An Voila! Your done =)
Tip: Always be sure to Deep condition after long periods of protective styles. Hair tends to lose moisture after a long period of time and needs treatment to give it that full, bouncy healthy look.
I purchased it at the vitamin shop…I so love this place : http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/
