As creators we may think everything we create is a hot commodity.

Therefore saying things like “sign up for my email list” isn’t efficient. You have to provide some sort of value to your readers whether it be a useful checklist or ultimate guide.

Create a Content Upgrade Within a Post Asking People to Join Your List
Content upgrades are one of the easiest ways to lure readers into your list. It doesn’t require too much prep as you already have a blog post with needed content at your disposal.
Not to sure what a content upgrade is?
You’re simply making signing up for your email list the next logically step for your readers. You do this by telling them they can unlock additional information on that very blog post when they sign up for your email list.
Ie: you write a post on 4 simple recipes under 5 minutes. At the end or even in between your post you can have a call to action stating that if they want to unlock 3 more recipes they can sign up to receive it in their inbox.
Then of course you send those recipes over via your email marketing system!

Give Readers a Chance to Win a Giveaway if They’re On Your Email List
Plain and simple…
You can hold an exclusive giveaway for email list members and advertise it all over your social media.
Why does this work?
Who doesn’t like free stuff? If you blast this giveaway people will think the stakes are low for entry if all that’s required is an email.
For example: “I’m giving away an Amazon gift card. All you have to do is enter!”
